Ingredients:
Minced beef _________________________________½ kg
Coriander powder ______________________________2 tsp
Cumin powder _________________________________1 tsp
Kashmiri chili powder____________________________ ½ tsp
Salt _________________________________________2 tbsp
Arrowroot ____________________________________4 tbsp
Yogurt (whisked) _______________________________1 cup
Sugar _______________________________________1 tsp
Ginger (chopped) _______________________________1 tsp
Coriander leaves (Chopped) ________________________2 tbsp
Oil and water __________________________________as required

Method:

  • • Wash and dry minced beef. Mix the minced beef, powdered red chillies, powdered coriander, arrowroot and 1 tbsp salt together in a bowl. Make ‘koftas’ the sizw of eggs, of the mixture.
  • • Heat oil in a wok and fry ‘koftas’ in it. Take them out on paper towels after they turn golden so that oil is absorbed.
  • • Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pot and add sugar ginger, yogurt and 3 cups of water. Stir continuously till the mixture boils. Add 1 tbsp of salt and place the’koftas’ one by one into the pot.
  • • Cook on low flame for 20 minutes. Cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes more.
  • • Place in a dish and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
